Advanced Unified Earthquake Catalog for North East India

Northeast India is one of the world’s most seismically active regions. The event data included in this research for period 1737–2012 mostly obtained from worldwide database agencies such as ISC, NEIC, and GCMT. Historical seismicity collected published unpublished documents some earthquake events are Indian Meteorological Department Bulletins. As Mw scale developed validated southern California region overestimates smaller magnitude earthquakes, therefore, recent literature suggested an improved version seismic moment (Mwg) applicable entire globe considering both long- short-period frequency-spectra using modern instrumental data. To update catalog India, we prepared empirical relationships between different magnitudes to Mwg robust statistical General Orthogonal Regression. A procedure also converting sizes towards scale. Magnitude Completeness (Mc) Gutenberg–Richter (GR) recurrence parameter values declustered homogenized four time periods, namely 1737–1963, 1964–1990, 1964–2000, 1964–2012, have been computed. Our analysis suggests that use improves parameters ‘b’ up 30%, ‘a’ 17%, ‘Mc’ 18% region. complete unified terms advanced could help understand engineering studies
